You will learn about why Barranquilla was nicknamed 'The Golden Gate' of Colombia, a pioneer in aviation, and the history behind the Founders Park. You will pass by the Casa del Carnaval, the official headquarters of the country's most important festival, and visit the Carnival Museum to see its different collections with elements allusive to this great festivity. You will continue to the Amira de la Rosa Theater, the open-air graffiti exhibition and the Edgar Rentería Baseball Stadium, one of the most important sports venues in the city. 

You will also visit the Plaza de la Aduana complex made up of the Plaza de la Locomotora, the Montoya Station and the Tramway Station; you will pass by the Intendencia Fluvial, cultural heritage of Barranquilla, the famous San Nicolas Church and finally you will finish with a panoramic view of the Ventana al Mundo and the Ventana de Campeones up to the Gran Malecon del Rio to appreciate the best view of the Magdalena River.

Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, we will start the tour with a panoramic tour of the bay of Cartagena, known for its beaches and vibrant commercial atmosphere. Then, we will enter the picturesque neighborhood of Manga, where the mix of republican architecture and modern skyscrapers creates a fascinating contrast. We will continue with a visit to the Castle or Fort of San Felipe de Barajas, erected in the 17th century by the Spaniards to protect them from pirates and, later, from the English. We will finish with a short walk through the historic center, exploring its colonial buildings, streets and squares full of history.

Breakfast at the hotel. This tour starts at 08:00 am. We will board a speedboat for approximately 45 minutes to San Pedro de Majagua Island, a hotel with one of the most privileged locations in the Rosario Islands. It has a private beach and services such as spa, snorkeling and diving. During the tour you will be able to appreciate the Bay of Cartagena. Upon arrival to the island, you will be received with a welcome cocktail and a tour of the facilities, during the day you can enjoy two beach areas and a typical lunch. Return to Cartagena Bay at 15:30 approximately.

Notes: For the boat, arrive at La Bodeguita dock (door N. 3) at 07:45 a.m. On the boat ride you may get wet and sometimes encounter big waves. The time of return from the islands to the dock depends on the authorization of the port captaincy, generally it is at 15:00 to 15:30. If you wish to visit the San Martin de Pajarales aquarium, the hotel's boats have round trip schedules so you can visit it, it is optional and the payment is made directly. The aquarium is closed on Mondays, and on Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday in Colombia.
