Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, we will head to the meeting point to enjoy the most emblematic parade of the Barranquilla Carnival: the Battle of Flowers. This grand parade, led by the Carnival Queen, features a spectacular procession of floats, dance troupes, cumbiambas, costumes, and folk groups that fill Via 40 with color and joy.

During the parade, we will be able to admire the creativity and talent of the artists and dancers who enliven the parade, in an atmosphere full of music, tradition, and culture. The Battle of Flowers, created in 1903 on the initiative of General Heriberto Arturo Vengoechea, commemorates the end of the Thousand Days' War and symbolizes the transformation of “bullets into flowers.”

Duration: approximately 6 hours (10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

At the scheduled time, we will depart for Via 40 to enjoy one of the most representative events of the Barranquilla Carnival: the Grand Parade of Tradition and Folklore, established in 1967. This parade brings together the cultural and musical essence of the Colombian Caribbean.

During the tour, we will enjoy performances by traditional folkloric groups, cumbiambas, and comparsas, who fill the streets with rhythm, color, and joy. Unlike other parades, there are no floats or large sound systems here, allowing you to fully enjoy the dance, music, and roots of the carnival in its most authentic form.

Duration: 5 hours approx. (11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

This colorful parade features majestic floats, costumes full of sparkle and creativity, and an abundance of music, rhythm, and joy. During the parade, we will witness a show full of choreographic combinations that blend the traditional with the modern, the local with the international. The dancers and dance troupes perform rhythms from different countries, such as samba, salsa, reggaeton, champeta, and electronic music, fused with indigenous sounds such as cumbia, porro, mapalé, son de negro, and merecumbé.
